NO PURCHASE REQUIRED. PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Eligibility
Students who will graduate from high school during the academic year 2024- 2025 and reside in and are legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, are eligible to apply (each an “Applicant”). Non-traditional students completing high school equivalency courses are not eligible to apply or win. Residents of Quebec are not eligible to apply or win.
Employees of Sponsor and its affiliated companies, and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to apply or win.
Eligibility will be determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any submission or Applicant it finds, in its sole discretion, to be ineligible for any reason including, but not limited to, fraud or deceptive activity. Any Scholarship Award inadvertently delivered to an Applicant who ought to have been disqualified by these Official Rules will be reclaimed by Sponsor.
All submissions that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Official Rules may be disqualified. By submitting an application, Applicants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements.
2. How to Apply
To apply, complete the submission form available at https://preprod-blog.remax.ca/quest-for-excellence/, indicate your acceptance of the terms, and submit an original, personal essay (the “Essay”) based on one of three key themes: (1) charitable community contributions, (2) the vision for a “brighter future,” or (3) ensuring future generations have a safe, secure, and affordable place to call “home”. The Essay must be (1) responsive to one of the three themes provided; (2) minimum 500 words; and (3) cohesive and grammatically correct, in Sponsor’s sole discretion (the “Essay Criteria”).
One submission per person.
3. Selection of Award Recipients
Forty (40) Applicants will be selected to receive a scholarship award of one-thousand dollars ($1,000 CAD) (the “Scholarship Award”).
The potential award recipients will be selected via random drawing from all eligible entries. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. No purchase necessary to apply or win.
Following the selection, for each potential award recipient, RE/MAX will (1) confirm eligibility, including verifying high school enrollment and graduation status; and (2) review the Essay and confirm it meets the Essay Criteria.
If a potential award recipient fails to respond to communication from Sponsor within a five (5) day period, fails to provide identification, fails to comply with the Official Rules, fails to meet the Essay Criteria, or if the notification is consistently returned as undeliverable or fails to reach a selected entrant for any reason or if potential award winner fails to respond for any reason to the communication as directed, or if the potential award winner’s high school fails to respond to the communication or fails to confirm enrollment and graduation status, that potential award recipient will be disqualified and an alternate Applicant will be selected and contacted and undergo the same confirmation process within five (5) business days of the alternative Applicant being contacted. All decisions of the Sponsor are final.
The Scholarship Award will be delivered to confirmed award recipients within sixty (60) days of the end of the Entry Period and will be delivered by mail or in-person at a local RE/MAX office.
4. Publicity
By accepting the Scholarship Award, each award recipient agrees to Sponsor’s use of his/her name, city/province of residence, picture, biographical information, statements, voice and likeness, in any advertising and publicity Sponsor may conduct relating to the Program in any media or format, whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the internet, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice.
