Haliburton at a glance:

Haliburton, just south of Algonquin Park, attracts cottage vacationers with its small-town vibe and relative affordability in its recreational property offerings. The region boasts numerous lakes, rivers, natural springs and hiking trails, topped the Haliburton Highlands – a high point on the Canadian Shield with a scenic view. While Haliburton’s economy is dominated by tourism, the region provides a quieter cottage alternative to neighbouring Muskoka.
